Ordered Co<sup>III</sup>‐MOF@Co<sup>II</sup>‐MOF Heterojunction for Highly Efficient Photocatalytic Syngas Production

The design of advanced metal–organic framework (MOF) catalysts for solar-driven conversion CO2 into syngas (CO/H2 mixture) is beneficial. Herein, the a joint MOF heterostructure consisting orderly assembled CoII- and CoIII-based Prussian blue analogs (PBAs) driven by their spontaneous lattice match in growth process reported. As-prepared H/CoIII[email protected]II-PBA cage mesocrystal exhibits superior photocatalytic production activity (VCO up to 50.56 mmol g−1 h−1, CO/H2 = 1:1), which among best state-of-the-art heterogeneous photocatalysts literature. Theoretical calculations experimental results confirm that CoIII-PBA exerts stronger affinity molecules than CoII-PBA, thus serving as active site. built-in electric field CoIII[email heterojunction can direct fast transport photogenerated electrons from CoII-PBA CoIII-PBA. In present case, engineering electronics outweighs morphological enhance catalytic properties protected]II-MOF CO2-to-syngas conversion.
